The house

About Farrowgate.

Farrowgate is a privately held group, not a fund. We bring our own capital, our own operators, and a long holding horizon to the companies we own, back and advise — across London and Dubai.

Why the house exists

Owners of good companies had too few successors who would both pay fairly and run the business well.

Funds bring capital but also a clock — a date by which they must sell. Strategics bring scale but bring their own agenda too. Too often, an owner who wanted a careful successor was offered neither.

Farrowgate was built to be that successor: a house with its own capital, its own operators, and no exit deadline. We acquire companies to run them, back companies to grow them, and advise owners the way we would want to be advised — with skin in the game.

The name carries the idea. A gate is both a passage and a safeguard — the threshold an owner crosses when handing over what they built, and the guard that keeps it safe afterwards. Stewardship is the whole point of the exercise.

Our philosophy

A small set of convictions.

Everything else follows from these.

The company first

What is good for the business comes before what is convenient for the house. Decisions are made on that basis, even when they cost us something.

We stay

Our horizon is measured in years, not quarters. We reinvest rather than strip, and we back management through good years and difficult ones.

Our capital, our risk

We invest our own principal capital on the same terms as our partners. If a decision goes wrong, we feel it the same way you do.

Words we keep

We would rather lose a transaction than misrepresent one. Confidentiality, honesty and a handshake still mean something here.

In practice

What working with us actually looks like.

A private first conversation, a quick and honest assessment, terms that fit the business, and a partnership that continues long after completion.

See the capabilities
First conversation

Private and unhurried

We meet the owner, listen to the story of the business, and understand what they want next. No pitch, no process — just a conversation, in confidence.

Assessment

Quiet and on our own account

We do our diligence ourselves and reach a view quickly. We will tell you plainly whether we are the right partner, and if we are not, say so.

Agreement

Terms that fit the business

Structure follows the company and its people — not a template. We aim for terms an owner can sign with confidence and a transition that protects staff and customers.

Afterwards

A partnership that stays

Once the work is done we remain: supporting management, investing in the business, and helping it grow over the years that follow.

The people

One house, three disciplines.

Partners who decide, operators who run, and advisors who advise — under one roof, so an owner deals with people who can actually act.

Partners

Set strategy, lead owner relationships, and take the decisions on capital. The people who answer for the house.

Operators

Sit alongside management teams in the companies we own — on finance, operations and growth — because they have run businesses themselves.

Advisors

Bring perspective on exits, capital structure and markets — informed, like everything else, by having capital at risk of their own.

Two markets, one house

London for capital. Dubai for operations.

A presence on both sides lets us move companies and capital between the United Kingdom and the Gulf — and to operate, not just advise.

Principal office

London

Capital · counsel · UK origination. The seat of the partnership.

Operating office

Dubai

GCC operations · international expansion. Home of European Technical.

United Kingdom  ·  United Arab Emirates  ·  Europe  ·  GCC

The group

We don't just describe the Gulf market. Through European Technical, we run a business in it.

UAE operating company

European Technical

Our affiliated home and technical-services company in Dubai — a licensed UAE maintenance and technical-services operator, and the working face of the group across the Gulf. It gives our expansion work something most advisers lack: a real operating base in the region.

A conversation

If this sounds like the kind of house you'd like to talk to.

We'd be glad to hear about your business, in confidence, and tell you plainly whether and how we can help.
